The West Regional Science Fair Camp was a big success. On Friday students took a tour of the Argonne National Labratory. They saw Mira the super computer. Also, they participated in several lab experiments involving various types of energy. In one of the labs students tested different types of wind turbines to see which was most efficient at producing electricity. On Saturday students learned about science fair projects and had work time. There was a mock Science Fair for students to present what they had completed so far. Gnolya Duncan was our first place winner. On Sunday the students explored the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. The favorite exhibits were the mirror maze and the air vortex.
