Concept School Math Olympics

On Saturday, April 28th, four 5th grade students set out for the Concept School Math Olympics at Loyola University in Chicago.  Patricia Adams, Sumaya Ahmed, Miriam Bility, and DeAvion Smith competed with almost 200 students from other Concept Schools around the Midwest.  The girls practiced for about a month in preparation for the 50 question test, which took 70 minutes to complete.  After the test, they enjoyed lunch on campus and then participated in “Game24” before the awards were announced.  Two students scored high enough to earn an “Honorable Mention”.  Congratulations to Sumaya Ahmed and DeAvion Smith.
