Following the recent school closure announcement from Governor Tony Evers, Milwaukee Math and Science Academy has decided to close effective Monday, March 16, 2020. MMSA will reopen on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 (following our scheduled spring break).
This decision has been made in the best interest of our students and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of all in our school.
Our staff will gather at school on Monday to put together learning packets for each student to complete while they are away from school.
These packets will be mailed home on Monday so you should expect to find them in the mail later in the week. This packet will also include information for online programs like, IXL and Compass Learning. Please encourage your students to complete these learning packets and to go online for learning, if you have online access. The expectation is that those packets are returned to their respective teachers for a grade when students return to school on April 14th.
While the school is closed, MMSA will still offer a lunch to all of our students. Any MMSA student can come to the 1st Street entrance (glass doors) between 11:00am-1:00pm (Monday-Friday) to receive a lunch. Only students that attend MMSA are eligible for this free lunch.
We know these are very difficult times and we hope you will all stay safe.
