On February 26th, 2014, the students of MMSA performed a truly amazing program in honor of Black History Month for their friends and family at our school. Classes not only entertained, but also educated the audience as they performed. Students worked hard the previous weeks preparing their readings, songs, and skits, as well as decorating the “Hall of Fame” for our guests. The “Hall of Fame” honored African-American inventors and innovators in class designed boards filled with exciting information about each individual and their accomplishments. Guest African drummers and dancers, who really lit up the crowd with their talents, wrapped up the event.
